Current Flood Alert Level


Types of Flood Alerts

No Current Warning - Colour GREEN

Minor Flooding - Colour  YELLOW

Closure of minor roads and low level bridges/causeways. Lower limit flooding and is the initial flood level which landowners or the public will begin to be affected. A public warning will be issued by the Bureau of Meteorology.

Moderate Flooding - Colour ORANGE

Flooding that will inundate low-lying areas. Main traffic routes will be flooded. Live stock will need to be moved to higher ground and evacuation of some houses will be required.

Major Flooding - Colour RED

Inundation from flood waters will be extensive in rural areas. Properties, towns and villages will be cut off/isolated. Evacuations will be required.
